It’s time for the CFP!

It’s that time of the year when the world of college football moves from the weekly AP poll to the CFP poll in order to prepare for the end of the season and the playoffs. Right now, we Alabama fans are sitting on the outside looking in but no worries. As you look at the possible scenarios of the 1st poll, 4 of the teams are playing each other which will clear the way for other teams soon including Alabama. Now that is provided that they win at LSU this week and over the next few games. Speaking of Alabama football, looks like my wife and I will FINALLY get a chance to go to Bryant Denny Stadium on Saturday November 19th to see Alabama entertain Austin Peay. No, it’s not a “major” game but it’s a game that we can attend an we are looking forward to it!

Birthday Week!

My birthday is on Tuesday, October 25th, and I will be a whopping 57 years old. Just a few more years and I will move to the senior tees on the golf course…lol Seriously, I look forward to another “trip around the sun” and I am thankful for every single year that God has provided me with and those to come!

Speaking of golf, it’s been a couple of weeks since I played. It’s either been my schedule or the weather which is pretty routine for this time of the year. October seems to be mu busiest month outside of Biscuits baseball. Oh well, you can be assured that as soon as my schedule allows, I will be on somebody’s golf course soon!

I love being Paw Paw!

What a great weekend full of grandkids. First off, on Saturday, my grandson Rylan had a football game in the morning which gave me an opportunity to see him and my 2 other grandkids from my oldest son, Cris. On Sunday morning I got a call from my youngest son, Tristan, asking if I had plans for the day because he and my daughter-in-law, Libby, wanted to go the fair but didn’t want to bring their daughter, my granddaughter Aleida, along so they asked if my wife and I would babysit to which we said YES!! She was so playful and loving all afternoon long and it totally made our day. So, the bottom line is that I spent most of my weekend with grandkids and ZERO golf but still had a great weekend! 🙂

Back from the beach!

I spent last week on a work/play trip to Panama City Beach. I did my bi-annual broadcast from The Holiday Inn Resort on Monday and Tuesday and stayed in town for the remainder of the week. Let me just say that the Fall is the best time to go to the beach. The water was clear and calm plus it was not as crowded at the resort or just in town. I’ll go back in the Spring of 2023 and I can’t wait.

Speaking of the resort, we start our giveaways this week. We will give away a 3 day/2 night stay every Monday starting this week for 4 weeks. If you haven’t registered yet, do it NOW!

October 10th is my 2-year wedding anniversary and I am as excited today as I was 2 years ago when I married my wife, Missy. She woke up this morning to a double rose vase (1 rose for each year) and a beautiful card. We are going to celebrate later today! 🙂

Beach time!

This is the week that I broadcast my show from The Holiday Inn Resort in Panama City Beach. You can count on lots of social media posts and pictures! When I get back to the station next week, we will start giving away 3 day/2 night stays at the resort so get ready to win! We will have qualifying opportunities on the air as well as a registration opportunity on the website.
