THAT time of the year!

Busy, busy…it’s the story of my life this time of the year. For example, this past Saturday I had a wedding to DJ in Fitzpatrick from 4p-8p and then I had to leave immediately and head to my daughters engagement party which actually started at 7p so I was a little late but she understood. On Sunday, I had a Troy baseball game to announce at 11a and as soon as it was over I hit the road for Montevallo to see my grandson play in the championship game of the Grand Slam tournament. The Biscuits are back in town this week for a 6 game series vs The Pensacola Blue Wahoos and then we have ANOTHER 6 game series vs The Biloxi Shuckers. Now, these 2 series are separated by a day off on next Monday so that’s some good news! This Saturday I have another wedding to DJ in Clanton. WHEW!

Hope you have a great week!

What didn’t the Biscuits do yesterday!

The Montgomery Biscuits played a double header vs The Tennessee Smokies on Sunday at Riverwalk Stadium and it was definitely a stellar day for the team! Here’s what happened yesterday…

-They won both games

-The 1st game was won by a walk off home run

-The 2nd game was won with a combined no-hitter

-The 2nd game included a grand slam home run

-The 2nd game included 2 home runs by the same player in the same inning.

So, as you can see it was an awesome day of Biscuits baseball. Monday is an off day and then the team heads to Mississippi to take on the AA Braves before returning on Tuesday the 25th for a series vs The Pensacola Blue Wahoos. I hope to see you at the ballpark at some point this season!

Have a great week!

Biscuits Baseball!!

It seems like just yesterday that another Biscuits baseball season ended and now it’s time to start another one. Technically, this would have been my 20th year but because of the 2020 season being cancelled it is my 19th year. Either way, I am looking forward to some good AA baseball with the Montgomery Biscuits at Riverwalk Stadium.

On the injury side, my Achilles tendon is healing well and I have a recheck on Saturday at Baptist OrthoNow. Fingers crossed that I can get out of this boot and start walking normally! It’s golf season after all!

Have a great week!

One more week until Biscuits baseball!

Tuesday night, April 11th, will officially begin the busiest 6 months of my year with the start of Montgomery Biscuits baseball. I guess, technically, it’s already started with the number of games that I’ve been doing with Troy and Alabama State. Anyway, it should be another fun year at Riverwalk Stadium and I hope to see a LOT of you this year!

Update: My Achilles tendon injury continues to heal and I’ve got the boot for another couple of weeks before I go back for a check-up. Unfortunately, walking in a boot has caused some issues with my back but my weekly visit to Hart, Spine and Rehab took care of that with some therapy and an adjustment from Dr. Hart.

Hope you have a great week!
