What A Game!!

The Iron Bowl did not disappoint in its excitement again this year. In my opinion, Auburn had every right to win the ballgame based on the way they played ESPECIALLY the way that they ran the ball. Alabama did a lot of things right and in the end had the play that won the game on 4th and 31. When Isiah Bond caught the ball in the left corner of the end zone, I think the entire state of Alabama had a similar reaction…it was either excitement or disappointment, depending on who you were cheering for. As for me, I had almost…almost…given up and was starting to deal with the possibility of defeat but that quickly changed and I think my voice is paying for that today! So, on to the SEC Championship for the Crimson Tide on Saturday to take on the Georgia Bulldogs. We will have radio coverage starting at 12n.

This Friday kicks off the 27th annual Toy Hill where for 48 hours I will be on location at Son’s Automotive, 300 Eastern Boulevard, from 5p on Friday until Sunday at 5p. Please stop by at any point during the weekend and make a donation to the US Marines Toys For Tots program.

Have a great week!

It’s Iron Bowl Week!

Sooo, this past weekend the Alabama Crimson Tide football team completely dominated The Chattanooga Mocs 66-10 while the Auburn Tigers were, shall I say, embarrassed by The New Mexico State Aggies 31-10. Now, this may look promising to every Alabama football fan out there, myself included, BUT I can almost guarantee that the game will be a lot closer than most expect simply because it’s the Iron Bowl and the fact that the game is being played in Auburn at Jordan Hare Stadium. We will have radio coverage starting at 11:30a on Saturday with kickoff right around 2:30p.

The wedding season for me continues as I traveled to Hoover, AL this past weekend to DJ a wedding reception at Brock’s Gap Brewing Company. Nice venue, as it was my first time doing an event there. As I look ahead, I have no weddings for the next 2 weekends which is a nice break, HOWEVER, I do have my 48-hour toy drive coming up on 12/1-12/3. Toy Hill 2023 will be at Sons Automotive, 300 Eastern Boulevard, this year beginning on that Friday at 5p and concluding on that Sunday at 5p. We ask that you stop by at any time during the 48 hours and make a donation.

My basketball PA duties have officially begun this year. I’ve already done my first Troy game and have 2 this week as well

Another busy weekend!

This weekend was another busy one for me as I had another wedding to DJ back at The Chapel At The Waters and as I look ahead to this weekend I have another one! I think back to 2020 when Covid cancelled or postponed a bunch of events and I guess now 2023 is making up for it!

A big win for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team this past Saturday as they went on the road at Kentucky and came away with a win AND the SEC West title as well. This Saturday is another early game with our radio coverage beginning at 8a and the kickoff around 11a.

A huge thank you to the area Boy Scouts for allowing me to be the chairperson for their annual golf tournament on Monday at The Robert Trent Jones Golf trail in Prattville. My team finished tied for 3rd place so it was a good tournament.

Have a great week!

Wedding season!

This has been a very busy wedding season for me. This past weekend was my 3rd weekend in a row serving as DJ for a wedding and/or reception and we’re not done yet. I have another wedding this Saturday right back at the same venue that I was at this past weekend, The Chapel At The Waters. By the way, scheduling is “hot and heavy” as I actually booked a wedding while doing the one this past weekend!

The Alabama Crimson Tide football team scored a huge win this past Saturday vs LSU. The final score was 42-28 and now they sit in the drivers seat for the SEC West division and a possible berth in the SEC Championship game. Alabama Basketball gets underway this week as well. Looking for another good year with Coach Nate Oats.

My 2 grandsons wrapped up football and Fall baseball this past weekend but there’s no rest for the weary as the Spring will be here before you know it. They both celebrated with tournament wins!

Have a great week!
